What is Travel in Canada?

Travel in Canada refers to short-term visits for tourism, family visits, or business purposes. Visitors must apply for a Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa – TRV) or eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) depending on their nationality.

How Traveling to Canada Works:

Visitors need to meet basic entry requirements and demonstrate temporary intent — they are not immigrating. You must show you’ll leave Canada at the end of your stay.

TRV (Visitor Visa) – Required for most countries.

eTA – Required for visa-exempt countries when flying to Canada.

Super Visa – For parents/grandparents of Canadian citizens/PRs, allows up to 5-year stays.
