Express Entry

Express Entry is Canada’s immigration system for skilled workers. It ranks applicants based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and invites the highest-ranking candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

It is a points-based system used in Express Entry to rank candidates based on factors like:

  • Age

  • Education

  • Work experience

  • Language proficiency (English/French)

  • Job offer in Canada (if applicable)

  • Provincial nomination (if applicable)

The maximum CRS score is 1,200. Candidates with the highest scores receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.
